Autumn Garden with A Twist

When a couple wants to bring autumn garden with a touch of vintage and rustic feel into their wedding day, we thought “why not?”. There is something magical about the falling leaves in the garden where the colors of red, brown and yellow are very rich. Add some vintage and rustic elements to make the whole decoration feels like a natural tranquil inside the venue.

We began with putting a bunch of brownish dried leaves in the main spots like the entrance and the “pelaminan”, mixed with flowers of red, white and peach roses with some green lush and arranged them on a cream-colored roman column, cream ascot urn to boost the vintage feel. Another vintage element that we added were shabby-chic French style chairs and white lace curtains, not only that they brought the good-old-day atmosphere, but also created a romantic mood.

To present the whole decoration concept and display the centerpieces, we created a special spot where we put a fall tree-inspired centerpiece and called it a ‘wishing tree’. The tree was useful to hang some stuff to add to the décor like small vases and tree swing, and we wired up some fairy lights. A lot of rustic and vintage ornament also placed in the area such as wooden barrels, wagon wheels and Baroque style console and vanity.

Luckily we got the right venue to support the whole theme. Located in Batavia Marina, the party was held in such an elegant ballroom with gleaming hardwood floor, fit the dark and natural feel to our décor to bring out that warm and cozy fall feeling.

Shake up your wedding themes if you want. The combination of several thematic elements and blend them into one grand concept is something doable and interesting. With the right colors and the right accessories, you can have a great autumn wedding for any theme you want.
