Well, recently a bride, by the name of Feta, walked down a winter wonderland. Where? In Banyuwangi, East Java. How is that possible? Because Butterfly made it possible.

At the wedding of Feta and Leon, we decorated the church where the Holy Matrimony took place in winter theme. At the start of the isle there was an arch made of white twigs and branches covered with bouquets of white and blue flowers. We used a lot of tall white branches along the path which gives the place that winter magic feel.

There were also white lamp posts, as well as white roses, white orchids, and blue hydrangeas in glass vases and floating candles to add an elegant touch. All this were placed on a carpet of white petals.

The reception had a different theme which is chinoiserie so everything was white and royal blue with a touch of red using roses. This theme has gained popularity among the Chinese descendants in Indonesia, and we are not surprised due to its elegance and heritage. Actually, the décor is quite simple; we used a lot of blue China vases and blue table cloths and candles.

Our decorating experience this time is rather interesting because the first part of the wedding reflects the West, while the other is Eastern influenced. This actually makes the whole process fun and challenges our creativity. Moreover, it is also fascinating for the bride and groom to be able to feel different ambience during their wedding, and the guests also.
