When Lilac Met Gray

There are so many different shades in the world and they are beautiful with their own characteristics. Recently, a unique pantone has gained the attention of many, and that is lilac grey.

I know what you might be thinking, “Lilac is a sweet colour, but lilac grey? Really?” Well, the answer is yes. If you are still sceptical, take a look at the photos.

Using lilac grey has many benefits, especially for a wedding. First of all, if you are aiming for that vintage look, then the colour is perfect. Imagine a Victorian age where if you see a photograph from that era it looks smokey and ethereal.

Another advantage is it makes your wedding looks expensive. There is no need to go over the top with decorations; just use a lilac grey table cloth, crystal glasses, roses, and napkins. Throw in some lavender for the look and scent.

You can even go beyond the decoration and use lilac grey for other things as well. Have your bridesmaids wear dresses in that colour and shoes to match. Also, why not have a lilac grey wedding cake?

Lilac grey is so versatile you can mix it up with different colours as well. For example for a pastel look, use pink or cream, and add touches of silver and gold. Adding a bit of green and purple also works, and of course white. Make sure the other colours do not overpower the lilac grey, so use them in flowers, leaves, ribbons, and other smaller decorations.

This shade is actually chosen for spring, but it also works for a winter look as well because it is considered a cool colour; just add more white and voila!

So why not choose a colour theme that is not ordinary for your wedding? Forget that typical red or pink and be exceptional!
