Clean, yet Sophisticated

Inspired by classic European beauties, we incorporated the elements of antique Czechoslovakian crystals and intricate French Chantilly lace into the designs that are clean yet sophisticated for Hananto and Choerunissa’s wedding reception. To match the strong Javanese culture of the wedding, we used orchids as hints in the florals arrangements.

Romantic Colors And Lush Greeneries

Bali always has a special place in hearts. Weddings in Bali, even a more special place. We love being invited to decorate the magical venues and we jump at the chance to be a part of a Bali wedding every single time. A wedding in Bali always feel so casual, yet warm; intimate and close-knitted. We can never get enough of watching couples saying their vows with the cool, outdoor Bali breeze in their hair and the view of their choice – the beach, the water, or the paddy fields – as a wondrous backdrop. Even though we’ve been there countless times, we still cannot wait for the next time we’re back there again.

We want to share with you the latest project we had on the island, the wedding of Luan Li Dong and Zou Lu at Sky in Ayana, Bali. Li Dong and Zou Lu did us a major favor by choosing the perfect venue – the ceremony in the midst of lush greeneries and the reception with a view that melts into the horizon.

To complement the already breathtakingly beautiful spaces, we choose an elegantly romantic theme for the wedding. Pink and white became the dominant colors and a few shades of green as fillers. We kept the decorations simple and easy, so not to overpower the magical views.

We personally loved how it all turned out. If there’s one thing that we had to point out as a favorite, it would definitely be the floral centerpiece during the blessing ceremony. In the midst of the lush carpet of green grass, it stood out as a focal point, yet it was still loose enough to highlight the magnificent view behind it.

We want to thank Li Dong and Zou Lu for giving us the chance to be a part of their special day and to congratulate the happy couple once more. May your journey in marriage be blessed with gorgeous views, romantic moments and evergreen experiences.

Butterfly

ENCHANTED RUSTIC

I loved you first: but afterwards your love
Outsoaring mine, sang such a loftier song
As drowned the friendly cooings of my dove.
Which owes the other most? my love was long,
And yours one moment seemed to wax more strong;
I loved and guessed at you, you construed me
And loved me for what might or might not be –
Nay, weights and measures do us both a wrong.
For verily love knows not ‘mine’ or ‘thine;’
With separate ‘I’ and ‘thou’ free love has done,
For one is both and both are one in love:
Rich love knows nought of ‘thine that is not mine;’
Both have the strength and both the length thereof,
Both of us, of the love which makes us one.

“I loved you first: but afterwards your love”

Stupendous Fantasy

Haven’t we all dreamt of a wedding that will create a memory of a lifetime, not only for you and your partner but for everyone that comes? With so many weddings happening all the time, it can be difficult trying to find a theme that really stands out from the crowd.

You don’t want to have a wedding that’s similar to your next door neighbor’s or that colleague of yours. You know, the type with the typical flowers and ordinary soft colors. You would want to turn the night into something incredible, something different, something that makes people go, “Wow! Where am I?”. If you can relate, then we would love to tell you all about the steampunk theme.

This genre is all about incorporating industrial designs and steam-powered machineries that are from science fantasy. Sounds cool doesn’t it? Because it is! The color combinations needed to perfect the theme are basically autumn colors alongside copper and black.

For the wedding dress, you can definitely opt for something Victorian. So this could even mean wearing a traditional white gown with accents of cool steampunk jewelries and lace. For your partner, he could play around with lots of fun accessories like top hat, rings, pocket watch just to name a few. Also, when it comes to your bridesmaids, don’t feel the need to have the wear matching dresses. Be creative and have them wear mismatching dresses in Victorian styles. You can also throw in quirky jewelries like interesting fascinators and brooches.

When it comes to the actual wedding décor itself, you could place lots of cool trinkets, gadgets, objects as your centerpieces and around the venue. So this could be anything from watches to something as extravagant as machineries. For the main aspect of the wedding, try to use copper and bronze colors all around the wedding venue. You want to create a moody lighting as well that seems mysterious but wacky at the same time.

Yes the steampunk theme can seem quite dramatic but why not, right? Go ahead and have fun creating a wedding that will take you and your guests into another world.

Butterfly
