Loving everything about Japan, Silas and Melly wanted something specific for their wedding day. Their love towards everything related to Japan and its culture was represented by a Japanese themed wedding, and it was surely something we had never done before. Black and red were the color of the wedding, something that the newlyweds requested as those colors gave meaning to their special day. Taking place at Ballroom 1, Pullman, Jakarta, Silas and Melly’s wedding was definitely unique and wonderful.
Bringing the Japanese ambiance to the venue, details such as Tori gate, lanterns, paper cranes, and the Maneki-neko (Japanese Lucky Cat) were so important. As Silas and Melly specifically requested the day to be black and white, we brought the color to the venue; coloring the details as well as the lighting. One important part of the
decoration was the wishing tree. Using a cherry blossom decorated with 500 black ribbons and paper folds, the wishing tree symbolized hopes and wishes for the newlyweds. The center stage was also designed in Japanese style, adapting Japanese traditional house. For the centerpiece, instead of using flowers, the dining table was decorated with paper cranes. Lovely!
