Welcome, Baby!

Baby showers are increasingly popular these days. However, some parents prefer to host traditional and religiously events to welcome their newborn into the world. Muslim parents hosts “Aqiqah”, a welcoming celebration for the baby, a week after the baby is born. “Aqiqah” comes from the arabic word “Aq” which means “to cut”, because usually within this ceremony, a stand of the baby’s hair is cut or shaved, and the weight of the hair is given to the poor in gold or silver.

We’re very glad to be a part of Aleandro’s welcoming ceremony. What a sweet little boy! We pray you will grow to be a wonderful man of God, Aleandro. A man who will always stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
