Butterfly Event Styling participated in the Jakarta Wedding Festival which was held at the Jakarta Convention Center from 14-16 August 2015. There were more than 500 bridal vendors from all over Indonesia that took part in this event, which made it, without question, the biggest wedding and honeymoon festival in Asia.
We teamed up with Sugar Gallery to set up our booth in a floral theme. The whole walls of the booth were covered in pink and white roses with vivid green leaves peek out from amidst the full-bodied blooms. We set the white round tables and tiffany chairs and covered the table with white lace table cloth to bring out the romantic mood.
In this event, we also did booth decoration for several other vendors. We used different themes for each of our respected clients. For Ayana booth, we wanted to feature its Sky Lounge and Garden, a special wedding venue at the ever trendy and luxurious Ayana Resort and Spa Bali. The concept of this booth decoration resembled the romantic style which a combination between the spectacular view of the sky and ocean and the beauty of flowers, all set in white with a touch of pink roses.
The second booth that we decorated was for the Conrad Hotel. The booth was called ‘the infinity booth’ to resemble their Infinity Chapel, the most iconic chapel on the island. We created a look that complemented the chapel-like booth in white, hung some white flowers on the ceiling and threw white flower petals on the aisle.
Another sophisticated chapel that inspired us to bring its look into the booth décor is Anantara’s chapel. Anantara Bali Uluwatu’s iconic modern chapel set over the dramatic cliffs is the perfect backdrop for a dream wedding. So we framed it in a booth, placed white sofa benches, hung white fabric, and crystal chandelier and put the rose arrangements.
We also helped to decorate the Sofitel booth. We created the atmosphere from the Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort’s splendid beachfront which bring out the breathtaking ocean backdrops. For this one, we used a combination of gold and white, and then set the booth with gold tiffany chairs and long tables. We hung three chandeliers on the ceiling to add more elegance. For the flowers, we used white and pink roses and arranged them in classic tall vases.
Aside from the Bali vendors that we helped out with decoration, we also helped a Jakarta-based wedding venue, Chakra. Chakra is a new romantic and tranquil place located at the heart of BSD, The Breeze. The concept of this booth is garden, which is pretty much heavy on wooden things and flowers. We hung simple strands of ribbons that tied in the hanging bud vases on the ceiling along with the lush green leaves. To add a more rustic feel, we put wooden barrels and created a display table, put a grouping of vases flowers on top of it for a natural centerpiece.
We’re so honored to participate in this grand event and to be given the chance to decorate some of the country’s best wedding venues’ booths. Looking forward to next year’s wedding festival!
