Summer wedding isn’t always about a beach wedding or a poolside one. We have plenty of ideas to have a wedding in the summer with style: carnival themed, Coachella themed, or picnic themed. All you have to do is pick one!
Coachella – Coachella is an annual music and arts festival held in California. It started in 1999. Coachella vibe is peaceful, fun, and electrifying. If you have this theme, the colours will be peach, light brown, pink or other pastel colours. The dresses will be simple but flowy and adorned with lace. You and the bridesmaids can wear a crown of flowers. If the wedding is outdoors, you can erect a big tent with rugs inside. You can decorate with some wood and leaves, and lanterns. For gifts, the guests can take home dreamcatchers. While for entertainment, a DJ with their own decorated stage will do.
Carnival – Carnivals are magical and exciting. There are funny and weird performances and many things to see and do. So if you have this theme, you can invite acrobats, magicians, and clowns to entertain your guests. Have a striped marquee with red and white or black and white colours. The hues you’ll need are bold and bright such as red, blue, and purple. Every carnival must have balloons, lollipops, and cotton candy. Better yet, set up a candy bar for your guests with all kinds of sweets and chocolates you can find. Decorate your wedding with flowers in metal buckets, light bulbs, and flags. Have a photo booth where guests can wear bowler hats, fake moustache, and a clown nose.
Picnic – Picnics are easy, breezy, and relaxed. Mowed green grass is preferred, so your wedding will be outdoors. You can have guests sitting down on rugs and pillows on the grass with a low table set up, or on some wooden tables and benches instead. Checkered tablecloths are usually associated with picnics. You can decorate with woven baskets, wooden logs, and flower pots. You can serve finger foods, coke in bottles, and light champagne. Prepare some soap bubbles for your guests to play with, especially the children.
