Every girl dreams of being a princess, at least on her wedding day. For Lester and Clara’s marriage ceremony, we wanted to make that dream come true. What would be more appropriate than a royal wedding for a princess, right?
The reception takes place at Raffles Hotel in Jakarta. Victorian arches are one of the important elements in achieving the royal look. It is used as the backdrop for the bridal stage and the registration area. Classical style furniture is also used in the wedding to emphasize the theme. Using white as the main colour gives a sense of grandeur, which fits perfectly for a princess wedding. Therefore, all the furniture and the flowers are mostly white.
There is a challenge to this wedding, and that is the couple also wanted a garden atmosphere. This could be tricky given the colour scheme and the wedding theme. However, Butterfly is known to have tricks up our sleeves, so we created arches made of white leaves all the way down the aisle. The aisle itself is a carpet of white petals. Another way to achieve the garden look, we made walls of flowers as backdrops as well. It looks like a white winter wonderland garden, don’t you think?
The bride also requested pink and champagne colours. These are perfect to add a sweeter touch and elegance, so that the white isn’t too overwhelming. We used pink flowers in the centerpieces and bouquets, and draperies. The guest chairs at the dinner tables are wrapped in champagne coloured fabrics.
We hoped that we helped a girl’s dream come true in fulfilling her dream so that she can feel like a princess who is marrying her prince. We believe their wedding is like a fairy tale, fit for royalty.
