“So love me like you do, love me like you do
Love me like you do, love me like you do
Touch me like you do, touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?”
We simply couldn’t stop humming this song the entire time we were preparing for Cipta and Vina’s wedding in paradise island of Bali. It’s funny you should ask, because in all honesty, their wedding concept was not derived from, nor was it inspired by, the controversial box office movie to which the above tune is a soundtrack of.
We can’t explain it, but that song seemed to play on repeat in our minds for days. Dare we say that Vina provoked it, when let us in on her wish for her wedding color palette: white with a shade of grey? (Shades of Grey. Get it? As in Fifty Shades of Grey? It just had to be said. Ha!)
If you’ve been following our work for a while, you will notice that we have an infatuation – or rather, a lingering affair – with pastel colors. We’ll admit that we can’t get enough of the sweetness and of the romance. However, we also love to do things out of the ordinary and embrace every opportunity to get out of our box
Despite all the excitement of trying something new, every change is usually greeted by a slight “huh?” with a hint of unpleasantry. When Vina presented us with the whole idea of white/grey color theme, we gotta admit that we cringed a little. It was unimaginable to us at first, but after a few discussions and experiments, we were able to find ways to mix those two colors together beautifully. The result was, well… let’s just say that Vina is a genius!
The white/grey combo presented a majestic look for the afternoon soiree and, combined with warm-colored fairy lights, an elegant one for the evening reception. You can’t go wrong with a white wedding. The grey shade just adds to the elegance of it. Who would’ve thought, right?
“Fading in, fading out, on the edge of paradise…” We are love, love, loving this look. How about you?
xoxo,
Butterfly
